The Bridges at Springstreet Golf Club: An Executive Course Experience in Sunrise, FL

March 18, 2025. Sunrise, Florida.

Today, we played at The Bridges at Springtree Golf Club in Sunrise, Florida. The course, a unique executive layout, had much to offer, and the conditions were immaculate. We are all familiar with executive courses that feature 18 par-3 holes, as opposed to standard courses with four par-3s, four par-5s, and the remaining ten par-4s. The Bridges is a mix of both, a par-62 course with eleven par-3s, six par-4s, and one par-5.

It was just my grandson and me on the course, and we enjoyed perfect weather for the entire round. The pace of play was slow at times, but the course’s conditions made the wait more enjoyable. When asked about the course conditions, one of the attendants explained that they grow “Paspalum Grass,” which, according to him, grows sideways rather than upward. This particular grass has the ability to repair swing divots in just a few days, rather than weeks.

It was a great day on the golf course. Seeing my fourteen-year-old grandson smash big drives past me and make impressive approach shots onto the greens was incredibly rewarding. If it weren’t for his love of soccer, he’d have a bright future in golf.
